Collection bulks (1942-1964) with literary productions, printed material, and scrapbook material pertaining to Bertrand's naval experiences in World War II, and his duties as a college president. Of particular interest is his memoir, "Seasick Texas Submariner," which was used, in part, for the CBS television series "The Silent Service" in the late 1950s.
